Here's a list of talks that I really like. Similarly to my book ledger, I keep this list for two reasons:

  1. Seeing a list of talks I have enjoyed inspires me to continue watching new talks.

  2. I think these talks are so great that I wish to recommend them to others.

SQLite walkthrough by the author of SQLite, D. Richard Hipp (1 hour 7 minutes).

Recommended if you use SQLite or if you are interested in databases in general.

The Future of Programming by Bret Victor (32 minutes).

Inspirational talk about alternative programming models.

Hammock Driven Development by Rich Hickey (40 minutes)

Inspirational talk on the necessity of focus.

What Bodies Think About: Bioelectric Computation Outside the Nervous System by Dr. Michael Levin (52 minutes).

I was awestruck by this talk the first time I saw it, and still am. Very excited about the future of this research.
